Webinar: The Awareness Gap
Why Good Organizations Stay Invisible – and the Structure that Fixes It
You can have strong programs, real impact, and a hardworking team—and still not be widely known or clearly understood. This webinar explains four reasons awareness stays low (even when effort is high) and what to do about it.
Want help installing the system?
If you watched live—or you’ve watched the replay—and you want to build awareness that reaches beyond insiders, our April 1 Awareness Engine cohort is the next step.
Awareness Engine™ April 1 Cohort
A 90-day, guided install of a 9-step communications operating system.
2–3 minutes. No obligation. This simply books a 15-minute online conversation to answer questions and confirm whether the cohort is right for your organization.
Is April 1st too soon? Fill out the form anyway and let us know your preferred start date.

Quick self-check
If any of these are familiar, you’re the right kind of organization for this:
-
Your board keeps saying “No one knows who we are.”
-
You’re communicating regularly—but mostly reaching insiders
-
The message isn’t sticking outside your current supporters
-
You want a system, not a flurry of tactics
-
You need awareness to support real outcomes (participation, support, advocacy, confidence)
What is Awareness Engine™?
Awareness Engine™ is a 9-step communications operating system for mission-driven organizations.
It connects:
-
What your organization is trying to accomplish
-
Who must understand and support that
-
What those audiences need to hear
-
How your story is reinforced consistently
-
How progress becomes visible internally
It is not a rebrand. It is not a content calendar. It is not a campaign. It is the structure that makes awareness cumulative instead of episodic.

AI is Integrated Throughout
AI is incorporated across the entire system.
It supports:
-
You learn Audience insight development
-
Message clarification
-
Content drafting aligned to your Core Story
-
Platform-aware formatting for email, social, and paid
-
Persuasion devices based on evidence-based methods
You learn how to generate aligned first drafts efficiently — and refine them strategically.
The goal is not speed alone. It is faster alignment
How the April 1 Cohort is Delivered
Awareness Engine™ runs over 13 weeks.
The first 9 weeks walk step-by-step through the system. The final 4 weeks focus on technical assistance and launch support to ensure everything is operational.
Weekly Live Sessions
-
One live session per week beginning April 1
-
All sessions recorded if you cannot attend live
Each session moves you into application — not theory. Within the 13-week timeframe, you are welcome to move at your own pace across the steps.
Weekly Work Commitment
Expect an average of 3–5 hours per week, including:
-
Attending or watching the session of the week
-
Completing structured tasks
-
Preparing for the next step
-
Attending a Q&A coaching session
Some weeks (story development, system setup) may require slightly more time. Others less.
We provide:
-
Clear worksheets
-
Structured AI prompts
-
Step-by-step instructions
We have intentionally designed the program for time-constrained organizational leaders — not full-time marketing departments
Ongoing Coaching & Support (Accelerator Included)
All cohort participants become members of our Accelerator during the program. The Accelerator is our coaching and technical assistance program. Some like to call it the “Bat Phone.”
This includes:
-
Two live coaching / Q&A calls per week
-
Real-time troubleshooting
-
Feedback on messaging and campaigns
-
Access to masterclasses and templates
-
Peer insight from other organizations
-
On-demand support between sessions
You are not left alone to implement. You have access to coaching and technical assistance while you build and launch.
What Changes After 90 Days
You will have:
-
Clear communications objectives shaped from existing priorities
-
Defined Audience Profiles
-
A documented Core Story
-
A structured 12-month reinforcement system
-
Installed platforms and templates
-
A live first month of content
-
A visible operating rhythm
Awareness stops restarting. It begins accumulating. Over time, that changes how your organization is understood — and supported.
Common Questions
I don’t think I can pull off the April cohort. Will there be another one in the future?
-
Yes. If you’re interested, fill out the form and let us know your timing preference.
Could my coworker or team help with this project?
-
Yes. This can work with several individuals, as long as they are working on the same initiative or the same organization’s communications.
Who is this for?
-
Leaders and teams in mission-driven, community-rooted organizations that serve multiple audiences and depend on ongoing trust and support.
-
Especially those with limited capacity and inconsistent awareness.
Common fit includes
-
Community foundations
-
Healthcare foundations and rural hospitals
-
Regional or place-based nonprofits
-
Education foundations
-
Economic development and civic organizations
Common roles include
-
Executive Directors and CEOs
-
Foundation presidents
-
Advancement and development leaders
-
Communications staff
-
Board members responsible for awareness and growth
What if I feel like I’m always explaining the organization?
-
You will probably recognize the patterns in this work immediately.
-
That is often one of the clearest signs that the structure is missing.
How can I pay?
-
We can arrange payment or invoicing after the call.
-
If helpful, we can talk through the payment options when you’re ready to move forward.
What if I’m not available for all the sessions?
-
No worries. Many organizations attend all the calls, but some work more independently and check in when they are available. The structure is built to accommodate busy schedules.
Do you have information I can print out for my board?
-
Yes. View or print the board information here: Awareness Engine Program Details.docx
“We’re already overwhelmed. Is this realistic?”
-
If your team is in constant reactive mode, this may feel like “one more thing.” In practice, it replaces scattered effort with structure.
-
Most participants report that by Week 4 or 5, decision-making becomes easier because priorities are clearer.
-
The time investment is intentional — and finite.
“Our strategic plan isn’t very clear.”
-
That’s common. We do not attempt to rewrite your strategy. We shape what exists into communications objectives that are measurable and usable.
-
Clarity at the communications level often improves clarity upstream.
“Should we rebrand first?”
-
Usually, no. If your organization cannot consistently articulate who you are now, a new logo will not fix that.
-
Structure precedes polish.
“What if we can’t attend live?”
-
All sessions are recorded. Coaching calls are offered twice weekly, providing flexibility.
-
The system is designed to move forward even if you miss most of the live sessions.
