McPherson Marion Childcare Connection
Finding reliable childcare shouldn’t be overwhelming. To make the process simpler, more transparent, and locally focused, BowerComm partnered with the McPherson County Community Foundation to create the McPherson Marion Childcare Connection—a centralized digital platform that connects families with verified local providers while giving providers a clear, accessible way to communicate availability, services, and program strengths.
THE CHALLENGE
Parents in McPherson and Marion counties lacked a single, reliable resource to search for childcare options.
Childcare providers needed greater visibility and a consistent platform to showcase services and program strengths.
The community needed a solution that could connect families with local childcare providers.
Providers also needed practical tools and guidance to better present and market their services.
OUR APPROACH
Designed and developed a centralized, user-friendly childcare finder website with a filterable directory by age, program type, and availability.
Created individual provider pages to highlight each program’s unique offerings, amenities, and credentials—giving providers a professional platform to promote their services.
Implemented a light promotional strategy, including social media, press outreach, and targeted ads to drive awareness and usage of the platform.
Established a year-long provider support program with monthly coaching sessions and peer engagement opportunities to help providers strengthen their marketing, communication, and visibility.
THE OUTCOME
30 providers joined the directory at launch, with additional providers continuing to sign up.
The website generated 849 visits in its first three months, demonstrating strong early engagement for the communities it serves.
The platform received positive feedback from families, providers, and community partners.
