Market Hutch

Market Hutch is a community marketing program for Hutchinson, KS focused on increasing sales tax revenue by driving consumer traffic through promotion of the retail, tourism, and special event opportunities available throughout Hutchinson and Reno County.
THE CHALLENGE
Transform Hutchinson/Reno County into a memorable brand with creative and fresh ideas to attract more visitors to Reno County.
Build a robust email list to continually reach out to an engaged audience and keep them updated on thin happening in Hutchinson/Reno County.
Drive interest in local retail and restaurants to increase revenue and sales tax.
OUR APPROACH
Developed the “Share the Love” campaign that provided a new, cohesive look across all platforms.
Created a robust email expansion campaign, with seasonal “Fun Guides” and lead magnets to drive email sign-up. Twice-monthly email blasts keep messaging consistent.
Continuously promoted local businesses on social media and traditional media, with direct links to 150+ Reno County businesses and attractions, and 60+ area events and activities in promotional emails.
THE OUTCOME
“Share the Love” campaign widely embraced by retail businesses and attractions.
Increased email distribution list from less than 400 to more than 15K over three years.
Paid Social Media posts resulted in 3,190,077 impressions with 35,527 clicks. 246 TV spots resulted in 720,000 total impressions.
